As Director of Regional Development for Fáilte Ireland, Paul heads up Product Sales and Distribution and Business Tourism and has been actively involved in the development of the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and Dublin experience brands.

Before joining Fáilte Ireland in 2004, Paul worked with several household names including Musgrave Group, Vodafone, Diageo and C&C.

As Director of Product Development, Orla leads strategies supporting the sustainable and innovative development of Irish tourism.

Orla oversees the Tourism Development Investment Strategy, supporting innovation in developing tourism experiences across the country in the areas of attractions, activities, festivals and events. One of its key pillars is the delivery of a greater regional and seasonal spread of tourism, while maintaining the competitiveness of more established destinations and ensuring Ireland has compelling and motivating experiences for our visitors.

Orla joined Fáilte Ireland in 2008 after 10 years in the telecommunications industry.

As Director of Sector Development, Jenny heads up Enterprise Development, Accommodation Development and Tourism Careers, providing the vital supports to address challenges facing the sector.

A Cork native, Jenny has worked with Fáilte Ireland for over fifteen years in both national and regional roles working on destination, product, industry and commercial development. Jenny also has extensive FMCG experience, having worked with Nestlé across the globe for over 15 years and in private consultancy.

Niall leads consumer-focused initiatives at Fáilte Ireland including tourism marketing campaigns and research and insights. Adopting a consumer-centric approach, Niall is passionate about creativity and collaboration when promoting Ireland as a holiday destination.

Based in Sligo, Niall joined the National Tourism Development Authority in 2018 after a spell overseas with roles in England and America and has worked with some of the world’s most recognisable brands including Guinness, Aviva and Kerrygold.

Paddy Mathews has been Head of Operations for Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands with Fáilte Ireland since July 2018. Prior to his appointment to this role, he held the posts of Head of Attractions and Head of Investment and Innovation with Fáilte Ireland. He holds Masters in Town and County Planning and in Heritage Management. He previously worked as a consultant with John Cronin & Associates, specialising in heritage and conservation, and from 1996 to 2003 he served as Planning Officer with the Heritage Council.

Brian has been the Head of Ireland’s Ancient East at Fáilte Ireland since March 2020. He has spent much of his career working overseas, primarily in North America and Australia in commercial and business development roles. Most recently based in Melbourne he worked with The Belgravia Group in a business development capacity across its leisure and tourism portfolio. He also has extensive FMCG experience having worked in a variety of international roles with Ornua. Brian is a graduate of University College Cork.

Liz joined Fáilte Ireland as Head of Dublin in October 2018, where she has responsibility for leading the regional development team to shape and execute the regional tourism development strategy for Dublin city and county. Before joining Fáilte Ireland, Liz worked for over 20 years in marketing and sales roles in both B:B and B:C markets, working predominantly in the telco and utilities sectors. Born and bred in Dublin, Liz is passionate about building strong, collaborative public and private sector networks and alliances that can work around a shared vision and agenda to deliver sustainable growth that delivers for visitors, communities, and industry.

Miriam Kennedy has been with Fáilte Ireland for over 10 years. She has worked across a number of areas within the organisation including events and the Dublin Convention Bureau, and was Head of Business Tourism and Events before being appointed Head of the Wild Atlantic Way at the start of 2018. Previous to this, Miriam was Events Director with Platinum One. Originally from Co. Kilkenny, Miriam now resides along the Wild Atlantic Way in Galway with her family.
